Press release: Taxpayers Prepare for Election Victories in 2022

In honor of President’s Day, the Central Valley Taxpayers Association will hold its first Lincoln Day Celebration at Chez Shari on Thursday, February 24th at 6:30 pm.

Assemblyman Devon Mathis and the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association’s Legislative Director, Scott Kaufman, will deliver keynote remarks and taxpayer endorsed candidates will be featured.

With gas prices and inflation surging to record highs, taxpayer advocates say the time is now for fiscally prudent political leadership. A top priority is protecting Proposition 13, California’s historic taxpayer protection originally passed in 1978.

“We are working hard to support policies and candidates who will act responsibly for taxpayers, and the Lincoln Day Celebration is an opportunity for members of the community to get involved,” said Brice Adams, President of the CVTA. “It’s your tax dollars that the government spends. Shouldn’t you have a say?”
